Billy Perry is a professional BMX athlete and devoted BMW M enthusiast. He started riding as a toddler and quickly rose through the ranks, earning recognition for his freestyle skills across New York City and beyond. Today, he travels the globe performing stunts with fellow BMX riders in some of the world’s most iconic urban landscapes.
In his mid-twenties, Billy launched his own BMX fashion brand, Follow The Leader (FTL). Now in his early thirties, he’s one of the sport’s most influential figures, with nearly 1.6 million YouTube subscribers and over 400,000 Instagram followers.
Recently, Billy pulled off a daring stunt: jumping his BMX bike over a drifting 2026 BMW M5—merging his two passions in one audacious moment.
“I’d say my BMX and my M2 actually feel quite similar to me. I’ve been riding a similar bike setup for nearly eight years, and between my two M2s, I’ve put just about 100,000 miles on them. I would say I’m very familiar with both and they share a lot of the same characteristics – quick, nimble and endlessly fun,” Billy said.
He’s now the proud owner of a Miami Blue M5 Touring. “The M5 Touring is still new to me so getting to know it feels a lot like building a similar bike with slightly different geometry – it’s been fun dialing it in.”
